What do customers who never come back cost you?

Enter three numbers from your shop. The receipt below shows how much never reaches your till in a year because people who buy for the first time never come back. Free, no sign-up.

People who come in and buy for the first time. An estimate is fine.
How much a customer spends on average on each visit.

Tap the dots. The pink ones are the customers you lose after their first purchase: the receipt tells you what they cost you.
If you don’t know, leave 2: it’s the typical value in the shops I work with.

For comparison: in a real shop I work with, out of 100 new customers 27 come back within a year and 14 already in the first month.

*** THANK YOU, COME AGAIN ***

How it is worked out: new customers per week × 52 = new customers in a year. Those who don’t come back make only their first visit; those who do make, on average, the “visits a year” you entered. The difference, multiplied by the average receipt, is the missing spending. It doesn’t count later years or word of mouth, so the real value is higher.

How I bring them back

Bringing customers back without blanket discounts

The same discount for everyone is the easiest road, and the most expensive one: you also give it to people who would have come back anyway, and your margin disappears. LoyaltyAutomated works the other way round. First it understands who your customers are, then it speaks to each of them at the right moment, and it gives the incentive only to those who really need it to come back.

Customer profiling

From your till data I can see who buys often, who spends the most and who is starting to drift away. So you know where to focus, instead of treating everyone the same.

Marketing automation

SMS, email and WhatsApp go out on their own at the right moment: after the first purchase, when a customer hasn’t been seen for too long, on their birthday. You don’t have to remember anything.

Loyalty strategies

Points, rewards and perks designed to bring people back, not to sell things off cheap. The incentive goes to those you risk losing, not to those who would come in anyway: that’s why it doesn’t weigh on your margin like a discount for everyone.

And in the end you see, figures in hand, how much the customers who came back have made you sell. See how the programme works
